​BËTSKNATÉ- Ceremonia del Perdón

 

El Bëtsknaté o Ceremonia del Perdón es un encuentro colectivo entre Kamëntsás e Ingas que transcurre cada año en el Valle del Sibundoy en el alto Putumayo, es una ceremonia que se remonta a más de tres siglos en dónde se agradece a la madre tierra por la vida de todos los seres presentes y ausentes, como ritual máximo del cambio solar sitúa al perdón como estado de limpieza y renovación de los mundos espirituales y materiales. Aquí se hace memoria a través de la ritualidad sobre procesos colonizadores e invasores que han marcado fuertemente este territorio, formando a partir de esta historia, una remembranza viva de resistencia que se ve reflejada en elementos vitales como la música, el canto en lengua materna, el alimento, el baile y el tejido. Persiste una conexión espiritual muy fuerte con la tierra y con los seres que la habitan, es un acto comunal de re-existencia cultural contra el olvido y la desaparición. No obstante, este pacto ancestral ha entrado en el mundo global, primero con la evangelización en la colonia y después con la incorporación en el repertorio de fiestas tradicionales en las cuales se tiende a diluir el sentido de sus símbolos y rituales. Fruto de un proceso de Investigación Social y Creación audiovisual esta pieza recoge estos cambios, permanencias, memorias,resistencias, colores, voces y lenguajes que se tejen en Bëtsknaté.

BËTSKNATÉ-Forgiveness Ceremony

The Bëtsknaté or Forgiveness Ceremony is a collective meeting between Kamëntsás and Ingas communities that takes place every year in the Sibundoy Valley in upper Putumayo. It is a ceremony that dates back more than three centuries in which Mother Earth is thanked for life. of all beings present and absent, as the maximum ritual of the solar change places forgiveness as a state of cleansing and renewal of the spiritual and material worlds. Here memory is made through rituality about colonizing and invasive processes that have strongly marked this territory, forming from this history, a living remembrance of resistance that is reflected in vital elements such as music, singing in the mother tongue, food, dancing and weaving. A very strong spiritual connection persists with the earth and with the beings that inhabit it, it is a communal act of cultural re-existence against oblivion and disappearance. However, this ancestral pact has entered the global world, first with evangelization in the colony and then with the incorporation into the repertoire of traditional festivals in which the meaning of its symbols and rituals tends to be diluted. The result of a process of Social Research and Audiovisual Creation, this piece collects these changes, permanence’s, memories, resistances, colors, voices, and languages that are woven in Bëtsknaté.
